Starcraft Trilogy

Starcraft Trilogy

Blizzard has announced that Starcraft II will ship as a trilogy of games. The first to be released will be the Terran's "Wing of Liberty" followed by the Zerg's "Heart of the Swarm" and then the Protoss's "Legacy of the Void". This means SC2 will ship as three different games. What does this mean for multiplayer? Nothing. However to get the entire single player campaign experience, you'll need to acquire the trilogy. This allows Blizzard to give their fans a game that includes upwards of 26-30 different missions. Not to mention more cinematics!

Multiplayer will be unaffected by these releases, all three will include each race for multiplayer matches. We've also learned that "Battle.net 2.0" will be released alongside the Terran version. We assume this will address latency issues, other features, and tweaks to make Battle.net even better.

The Campaign/Map editor will be bundled with the Terran version (and all subsequent versions).
